Hi, I'm Amanda Gwynne-Farrish - Creator and Designer of Pook Designz
Working with polymer clay has always been a hobby for me - it all started with me wanting to make food for my Barbie Dolls. Originally, I tried using a bread dough recipe following the techniques from well known miniature craft artist, Connie Stitt, of Midland, Ontario, whose handiwork boasts amazing realism of food and plants. The bread dough mixture was time consuming to make. While visiting a dollhouse store in Markham, Ontario (then Barnhill Miniatures), they suggested polymer clay. From that day forward, I haven't stopped "playing" with the clay.
I have been working with Polymer Clay for over 30 years now and I would like to think I am a master in my craft but I realize I still have a long way to go - this medium is so versatile and has such a large range of applications - there's always something more to learn. I look forward to embarking on a polymer clay creation journey with you. Keep tuning in for new pictures, blogs and workshop opportunities and endless creative ideas to help you along you with your journey of creating with polymer clay too. I look forward to "Pooking" with you, Amanda:)
