totWelcome to Pook Designz "Craft your Own Pook" Page. Below are the different projects you and your guests can create together. Customize your own character with genuine "Pook Parts" and enjoy the process of making and shaping your very own delightful and whimsical Polymer clay creature. Let Pook (Amanda Gwynne-Farrish) lead your child and guests step by step on how to make their favourite Pook Character.
Here's how it works:
Group Sizes:
A minimum of 5 children and a maximum of 12 are the recommended groups sizes for any party. However, if there are few adults present to assist and help manage a larger group (ie. parties held at a community centre) - groups of a larger size can be accommodated. Please inquire for details on this arrangement)
Details to know::
**However Recreational Complexes have rooms that can be rented. This cost will be incurred by the person hosting the party. For information regarding rooms at Bradford West Gwillimbury's Leisure Centre - please call (905) 775-7529 ext "0" to inquire of room rates.** It is recommended for groups of 12 or more that that a room be booked for 3 hours.
**Please note: I am from Bradford, if travel time is more than 15 minutes, a $35.00 flat fee is applied for gas and travel time.**
** Distances further than 3o minutes, I charge $1.00/km there and back - so if travel is 100km there and back, it's $100.00 for travel and gas**
A Gift for the Birthday Child: Please let Pook know the birthday child's favourite colours, and a preference for either a mini-figurine, necklace or earrings (come with silver plated nickel free posts) as a handmade gift that will be provided for the birthday girl or boy.
Let Pook entertain your child's friends for 2- 3 hours so that you can relax and enjoy watching your child and her friends learn to sculpt and get lost in a few hours of "creative clay" play.

Here's how it works:
- Pook shows up at your home or group centre. Pook will need about 15-20 minutes to set up work mats and clay supplies.
- Guests are invited to sit and get ready to "clay" For about 1.5 hours to 3 hours (depending on the complexity of the figure and the ages of participants). Guests are taught step by step how to form, and shape and add "Pook parts" to their Pook figurine.
- When the figurines are ready, they will be "baked" in a kitchen oven for 1 hour. While the characters are baking, the birthday child and guests will either take time to open gifts or have cake or both.
- When clay characters are finished baking, a 10-15 minute cool down time is required. Pook then packages them up in personalized bags to take home.

- Cost is $30/person + HST ( this includes prep time, cost of materials)
- For groups larger than 15 + people - please inquire as Pook can provide volume discount pricing.
- Pook brings: work mats, tools, clay, accessories and take home packaging. ALL Pook NEEDS from YOU is a TABLE for everyone to sit at and a KITCHEN OVEN
- Participants will be making the same character as everyone else.
- Colours can be varied as in the case of Pook's Pookee and Butterfly characters. Names plates are customized, so host/hostess will need to provide correct spellings of the guests and birthday child's name before hand. (preferably 2 days before party) .
- Scheduling for party booking should at least be a month in advance - but call either way, you never know if a time slot is free.
- Pook advises afternoon party times slots but arrangements can be made for evening sessions (in the case of sleep overs) . So best birthday times are: 1- 4 pm on a Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Friday evenings from 7-10 are also available. Times are flexible however, depending on Pook's schedule and yours.
